Here are the answers to Frequently Asked RYSL Questions. Have a question that you don't see answered here? Email your question to ryslsoccer@sbcglobal.net. We will answer your question and add it to our list!

What is the U4 (Mini-Micro) program?
The U4 program is similar to the U5 program. All U4 players will play at 4:00pm on Sundays at Rochester High School. Practices will be age appropriate.

When do the U5 (Micro) players play?
U5 players meet once a week, on Sundays at 4:00pm or 5:15pm. The first 30 minutes is a practice and the second 30 minutes is a game. The U5 program is being played at Rochester High School this season in the football stadium.

When will my team practice (U6 and above)?
Great question! - but we can't answer it until after the coaches meeting. Why? Our coaches are parent volunteers. They select the day, time and location of practice from the fields we have available. The fields are typically at area elementary schools and are held Monday through Friday at 5:30, 6:30, or 7:30pm. If you are placed on a team whose practice does not work with your schedule, you can call the office and we will try to transfer you to a team with openings that fits in your schedule better.

How do I find out who my coach is?
Your coach will call or email you after the coaches meeting. He/she will introduce themselves and provide you with the practice schedule and game schedule.

If you are a U5 player, you will receive a letter with your time and program information at the end of August (Fall season) or mid April (Spring season).

What if I haven't heard from my coach but my friends have?
If you haven't heard from your coach by the beginning of the week following the coaches meeting, please call the RYSL office. Sometimes they have a bad phone number for you or you missed the message. In case of an error in the registration process, don't wait until games have started to call!

Why do parents sit on a different side than the coaches?
We have found that this makes both the players and the coaches job easier. Read the artilce Parents On The Other Side for more information.
