RSDL Laws of the Game

Spring 2011

Field Size: 30 yards x 45 yards

Goal Size: 6 feet x 12 feet

Ball Size: 4

# of Players: All teams will play 5v5.

Duration of Game: 2 x 25 halves

Offside: No

Free Kicks: Indirect

Throw Ins: Score (introduced Fall 09), Pass or Dribble the ball to restart the game.  (This helps with the decision making process)

Goal Kicks: Yes. All are performed by the GK in the form of a goal kick (Introduced Spring 10), taken at the edge of the penalty box. 

Corner Kicks: Yes.  The kicker cannot not play the ball a second time until it has been touched another player from either team.

Goalkeeper: Goalkeepers may not punt the ball. They may throw the ball or play it from the ground with their feet.

Passback to GK: Yes. The goalkeeper may pick up all balls passed to them from their teammate.

Substitution: After a goal, at half-time, on your teams kick in, on either teams goal kicks or injury stoppage (one for one) or on the fly providing that the player being substituted is in their teams own half of the field.

Sideline Protocol:  All coaches and players will be on the same side of the field.

Halftime: Teams should switch sides of the field after halftime.

Playing Time: Each player is expected to play at least half of each game.

Parents and Spectators:
Parents and spectators are to be situated on the outside of the fields. 
No parents or spectators are allowed to sit or stand behind any goal.
Please remember who is playing the game, then cheer and encourage accordingly.
Personal chairs are allowed.
All drink containers must be taken home or disposed of in the garbage cans.

If you wish to take photographs and you require to move around the field, please speak to the Director of the program and get permission.
